Palestinian-American Adolescent Liberated Following Nine Months in Israel's Imprisonment

A American-Palestinian adolescent who spent 270 days in Israeli detention without being charged gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest this past winter in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing against settlement residents, claims he consistently denied.

United States authorities applauded the teenager's freedom.

Now sixteen years old, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.

They said he is pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems contracted in captivity.

In a statement, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "tremendous relief".

Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Right now, our priority is getting Mohammed urgent medical care he needs following exposure to mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."

The state department announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"American leadership considers paramount to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," officials stated.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to US authorities and the administration, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.

Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, had earlier stated his son only confessed regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.

The teenager remained absent formal charges at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.
