Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete boasts substantial social media presence
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers when she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple courses worldwide and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially told me to play and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions recently and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to new audiences, particularly among the next generation.
The young star boasts a massive following and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
